The Dobrich Region of Bulgaria is situated in the north-eastern part of Bulgaria. The population is approximately 220,000 inhabitants and the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria covers some 4,700 sq. km. On the eastern border of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria can be found the Black Sea Coast. To the north-west is the Silistra region, while Shumen region and Varna region are situated to the south-west and south of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria.

Dobrich city is also the administrative municipality of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria. Dobrich city has a variety of high schools and technical schools, a theatre, symphony orchestra, a Medical Institute and is the main agricultural centre for all of Bulgaria.
