Dobrich Region of Bulgaria Review
The Dobrich Region of Bulgaria is situated in the north-eastern part of Bulgaria. The population is approximately 220,000 inhabitants and the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria covers some 4,700 sq. km. On the eastern border of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria can be found the Black Sea Coast. To the north-west is the Silistra region, while Shumen region and Varna region are situated to the south-west and south of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria.
The major city of the region is the town of Dobrich which is the eighth most populated town in Bulgaria and is some 230m above sea level. Dobrich city is also the administrative municipality of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria. Dobrich city has a variety of high schools and technical schools, a theatre, symphony orchestra, a Medical Institute and is the main agricultural centre for all of Bulgaria.
The climate of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria is said to be mainly moderate, usually with dry, continental summers and snowy winters. A simple description of the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria would state it is “rural with flat hills and wide, even valleys”. The Dobrich Region of Bulgaria is rich in the production of rye, oats, wheat and linseed and has become known for its production of
coppersmith products as well as woolen and leather goods. The Dobrich Region of Bulgaria has a highly skilled central workforce which is probably mainly responsible for the fact that many of the largest Bulgarian companies are located there. Trade, tourism, construction and agriculture are main industries while clothing, car batteries, high voltage equipment and food-processing industries are abundant in the Dobrich Region of Bulgaria.
